I cannot begin to say how much I love Jearen. He probably gets tired of how often I tell him I love him, but it's all I ever want to say, because I want him to know every time I think of my feelings for him! This past weekend I drove down to Waxahachie to hang out with him all weekend. It was a drive I was familiar with, having drove it a million times, but because Jearen was at home over the Holidays, I hadn't had to take HWY 67 in a long time! Once I got to his school Friday afternoon we went and had lunch with some of his friends, then later we bought Farkle, a dice game I learned how to play on a camping trip, and played that while waiting for the All Night Movie Party to take place in his dorm's lobby. We watched Rocket Man, then Tommy Boy, and then went our seperate ways for the night. The next day we had no plans, so we ate breakfast, then went to run some errands. While we were out Jearen thought it would be a good idea to visit his grandparents in Rockwall. After I agreed, we headed that way, and hung out with them for a couple of hours. I don't have grandparents anymore, and so I was kind of hesitant at first to go because I didn't know how to hang out with grandparents for more than 30 minutes or so. The conversations and time we got to spend with them was soooo worth the drive though, and I was glad that Jearen asked me to go with him. I see how much Jearen loves his Grandaddy and Nana, and it is so precious. And they love him back so much. It is sweet. That evening we drove back to Jearen's dorm so we could get ready for a date that he was going to take me on. He had kept it a secret all day, but once we were in the car I caught on to where we were going. A quick phone call to someone who's name began with an "A" and the words "3rd & Calhoon" coming out of Jearen's mouth, and I knew exactly where we were headed...Sundance Square in Ft. Worth! This is definetly my favorite place to go on a date, and Jearen likes going there too! After a few minutes of guessing who we were going on a double date with, I finally narrowed it down to our friends Andy & Jen. We met up with them in one of the parking lots, then headed to Uno's- a pizza place in the square. There was a long wait, kids passing by singing "pants on the ground, pants on the ground, looking like a fool, with your pants on the ground"- from American Idol, and lots of people filling the atmosphere with laughter. As we were eating one of the waiters sang Happy Birthday to about 5 different people in an Opera voice, and it was hilarious! Then after dinner we got some ice cream (coffee icecream for me!) and walked around the square till we made our way to Barnes & Noble. We walked around inside and Jearen and I found a new book that we want to start reading together called Love & Respect. After our double date ended, Jearen and I drove to Keller to stay at our Pastor's house. The next day we all went to Fellowship of the Parks in Keller, then went to Jimmy's house to watch the Cowboy game. I watched half the game but then fell asleep near the end of the 3rd quarter. Poor Jearen had to watch his team lose. That afternoon we had a team meeting for Real Church, then Jearen and I drove back to Waxahachie. We had a 3 hour conversation and it was a lot of fun to talk with him for that long! Then I drove home and that ended the weekend! I know this week is going to be great, despite the dentist appointment I have Wednesday. I'm so happy to have a great fiance, fun friends, and an amazing church to be a part of! Thank you Lord!
