The Brew

Jesus has blessed me with a joyful life. I married my best friend on July 10th, 2010, I help with a new church in Keller called RealChurch, and I am an assistant Preschool Teacher. My life may be pretty average, but I feel it's worth sharing and bragging on God for all he's done and going to do!

J&B = ONE YEAR!!

August 15, 2008.

That's the first day that Jearen asked me to be his girl.
Actually, it was also our first date. So sit back in that Lazy Boy as I tell the story of Day One for J&B.

As many of you know, Jearen and I worked together on the Rec Crew for Camp Lakeview in 2008. He and I became friends instantly, and hung out all summer. I fell for him very quickly. In fact, the more we started talking, the more I knew he was the one I would marry one day. I just knew. Anyway, after camp was over, him and I talked for a month over the phone/facebook/etc. He asked me on a date for the 15th of August, and of course I said yes. I meet him in Arlington that Friday afternoon, and then our date began. He took me to Mi Cocina, and was confident that it was a restaurent that I had never been to before (because he assumes that being from a small town means never eating out, lol). Sure enough, we pull up and I'm like "Hey, I've been here before. Cool" He was disappointed, but in a jokingly manner.

After we ate, he took me to Lake Grapevine were we sat on a blanket at the beach and just talked. It was such a pretty night. As we're talking for some reason I'm nervously talking about the boats and stuff I really didn't care for, haha. Then he asked me what my thoughts were on us- If I had any doubts about us or any hesitations. The only thing I could think of was distance. We would be going to school an hour and a half away from each other, and wasn't sure how that would work out. Then after we kinda discussed ways for it to work, he said: "Well, I guess there's only one thing left to do then. Will you be my girl?" I smiled and said yes! It was so cute! And that my friends is how Jearen and I first became a couple.

Now here we are, a year later, and I am so happy and in love with this boy! He is my Best Friend! He can make me laugh at times when I'm trying to not cry. He knows when I need to get something off of my chest. He is the most caring person I know. And the sweetest. Honestly. He will drop anything he is doing to help someone in need. Me being that someone sometimes. I've shared so many good memories with him over this past year. I have seen us grow so much, it's kinda surreal. I don't know what I would do without him. God has given me someone that is a perfect match for me! With God being first in my life, Jearen is definetly second! I love him!!! The best part is he loves me too! It's the best feeling!

I guess now would be a good time to share how he & I celebrated our One Year Anniversary. We did it big!

On August 15th, 2009- Jearen took me on a blind folded road trip to all the locations that have significance in our relationship. The following is pics of that day:

The first pic is me with the blindfold. I had no idea where we were going. The next pic is us in the Maverick Room at Camp- the first place we ever saw each other. Then the rock pic is where the paintball station was for camp- where he and I first started to hang out at. Then is a church building in Cleburne- where Jearen first told me he loved me in the parking lot. I cried! Then is a pic of a table and chairs at a Starbucks in Ft. Worth- where I first told him I loved him too- about a month later! Then me with my starbucks drink- being blindfolded all day in a car made me restless so I needed some energy, lol.

Then that afternoon we went to his mom's house and got ready for the night out. We got all dressed up, and then went to eat at the Reunion Tower in Dallas. I was so nervous when I saw how tall it was, I was having to control my breathing in the car. I'm goofy sometimes. We got in the elevator to go to the top, and I held onto Jearen the whole time and closed my eyes. We got to the top and were seated to eat. It was cool how it rotated. I ordered chicken cause I didn't feel like being adventurous, nor do I ever feel that way, and to my suprise, it was THE BIGGEST thing I had ever seen before. I barely ate half. Anyway, the food was delicious. And Jearen gave me a great gift: Chapters of our 7-12 months of being together. He started this on our one month anniversary (yes we celebrated this!) by writing a recap of our first month together and titled it Chapter One. Ever since, he has been doing this every month, but the past couple of months have been so busy for both of us that he didn't have time to write them. That night after dinner, we went to see Time Traveler's Wife with some of his friends, and then headed back to his mom's. It was a great day. In fact, without a doubt, it was a great year!

Thanks Jearen for a wonderful date. This whole year! You are the best! I love you Jearbear! Thanks for being my moonbeam as well! :)
